CharaieCelia Hamilton is an assistant principal at McIntyre Comprehensive Academy, and she has spent several years in education. Prior to her career in administration, Ms. Hamilton worked as an MPS English teacher. In Ms. Hamilton’s leisure time, she is a pageant judge, and she has held various titles: including Miss Alabama State University 2011-2012 and Miss Black Alabama USA 2018. Ms. Hamilton holds a Bachelors of Arts, a Master’s in English Education, and a Juris Doctorate. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy and Law, and she graduates in spring of 2025. Ms. Hamilton is the director of the Children’s Ministry at her church. Ms. Hamilton is a member of various organizations: including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and uses her memberships as an opportunity to positively impact the teachers and students of MPS. Ms. Hamilton comes from a family of educators. Her mom, Celia Hamilton, and her uncle, Wilbert Hamilton, too, have been educators for over 33 years. She looks at positively impacting education for several years to come.
