Risk management/Benefits is responsible for all of the benefit programs for City of Montgomery employees and retirees. Some highlights of the benefit programs include:

• Self-funded health insurance programs, claim payments administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama
• Captive primary care clinic for the benefit of City employees and retirees (shared with the County and Water Works)
• Retirement benefits through RSA
• Wellness program

Risk management/Safety and Claims is responsible for these highlighted areas:

• Third-party workers compensation program for employee on-the-job injuries
• Management of liability claims against the City
• Safety programs
• Property insurance
