If you intend to construct, move, enlarge, alter, demolish, repair, or change the occupancy of a building or structure or erect a sign you should submit a Building Permit Application or a Sign Permit Application to the building official and obtain a permit.

Building Permit Fees (Page 3)
Land disturbances greater 3500 SF or 24” deep or that are defined as “part of a larger development” are required to complete a Grading Permit Package.
Some projects may have additional jurisdictional requirements through the following agencies. These should be verified prior to submittal. For example, DCM has code jurisdiction over hotels/motels/hospitals/schools and movie theaters; any plans and specifications for such projects must also be submitted to DCM for plan review.
