Minimum Qualifications to Apply
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. Citizen or possess a current valid Work Visa with no felony convictions involving violence or moral turpitude. Must possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a GED, and a valid driver's license.Physical Requirements
Must meet the requirements of a physical exam and adhere to all fire department's policies on exercise, nicotine, drug, etc.

Pay Incentives
- $8,500 per year for licensed Paramedics assigned to an Advanced Life Support Unit
- $3,000 per year for licensed Paramedics not assigned to an Advanced Life Support Unit
- $3,500 per year for certified Special Operations team members assigned to a Special Operations Unit (Dive Team, Hazardous Materials Team or Technical Rescue Team)
- $3,500 per year for certified members assigned to the Division of Training, Technical Maintenance, Inspections Bureau, or Fire Investigations Bureau
- Educational Incentive Pay for degrees from accredited colleges or universities, based on level of college education:
- Pay equals one-step pay increase per degree - approximately 3% per step in pay
- Bachelor's Degree - approximately 3% increase in salary
- Master's/MBA - approximately 6% increase in salary
- Pay equals one-step pay increase per degree - approximately 3% per step in pay
- Reimbursement of college tuition in job related fields if tuition is paid after employment
