For grading over 3,500 feet, the city requires:
- Grading Permit Application, fee and surety
- Erosion & Siltation Control Plan application
- Concrete Washout, Chemicals, Litter & Sanitary Waste Control application
- if applicable, the ADEM NPDES Construction permit number should be supplied
Standard details for Erosion & Sedimentation Control for residential construction may be used for:
- your ESCC plan but it is your obligation to ensure adequate controls are used and maintained, or
- you may also hire a certified professional to prepare an individual ESCC plan
A bond to cover Erosion and Sediment Control is required for all sites.
- bonds should be automatically renewable
- bonds should be issued from a company payable at a local company
- performance bonds should be based on total disturbed area
- the name of the property owner being bonded should be included
- no other bond forms will be accepted
