OLD BUSINESS

1. Mayoral Veto of Ordinance No. 28-2024 (MPD pay raises).  Reasons:  (1) The Council Member who sponsored the ordinance had not ensured the budget would sustain the pay raise.  (2) The Interim Police Chief had not been consulted on the change and/or queried for his thoughts and support.  (3) Ordinance was not coordinated with the Mayor and his team.

2. Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning property containing 8.70 acres (+/-) located on the west side of Lower Wetumpka Road, across from Stokes Road, from an R-50 (Single-Family Residential) Zoning District to an M-3-Q (General Industrial-Qualified) Zoning District.  Applicant requested M-3; Planning Commission recommended M-3-Q restricted to No Expansion of an Auto Salvage/Junkyard to this property.  No Appeal Received.  (RZ-2024-011)

3. Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning property containing 5.12 acres (+/-)) located on the south side of East Fleming Road, approximately 1000 feet east of South Court Street, from an M-1 (Light Industrial) and FH (Flood Hazard) Zoning Districts to an M-1 (Light Industrial) Zoning District.  Recommended by the Planning Commission. (RZ-2024-010)   

4. Ordinance authorizing payments of $7500 per month for 12 months to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for patrolling & law enforcement.  (Sponsored by Councillor Pruitt)

5. Review of Soul Food Kitchen/Selvin’s Soul Food Sports Café, 1266 Eastdale Mall.  (1)

NEW BUSINESS

6. Review of Key West Inn, 1040 South West Boulevard.  (4)

7. Resolution repealing the legislation which created Montgomery City/County Personnel Board and expressing Council’s intent to adopt an ordinance creating a City Personnel Board in accordance with Act 2024-337.  (Sponsored by Councillor Calhoun)

8. Ordinance requiring all apartments and rental properties in the COM to have and maintain a local property manager or local property management company for the oversight and maintenance of properties.  (Sponsored by Councillor Szymanski) 

9. Ordinance authorizing Purchase and Sale Agreement and Sale of Real Estate owned by the COM at 900 Rosa L. Parks. Avenue

10. Ordinance authorizing Purchase and Sales Agreement and Sale of Real Estate owned by the COM at 904 Rosa L. Parks Avenue.

11. Ordinance authorizing the Purchase and Sale Agreement and Purchase of Real Estate by the COM at 64 Monroe Street.

12. Ordinance granting a license to construct, install, and maintain License Plate Readers located on City ROW at: North Decatur Street at North Ripley Street (WB), and North Decatur Street at Howe Street (NB).

13. Resolution authorizing an agreement with ALDOT for the widening and resurfacing of Perry Hill Road from Harrison Road to CR-235 (Atlanta Highway):  Project #STPMN-77223(603); CPMS Ref# 100044273.

14. Resolution setting hours of operation for 2600 North Belt Drive (Montgomery International Dragway).  (Sponsored by Councillor Beard)

15. Resolution authorizing Feasibility Study of Loveless School.

16. Application for Towing Company by Deanthony Rose, d/b/a D&D Towing and Recovery, 562 Oliver Road.  

17. Application for Retail Beer & Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) Licenses by Air Base 755 Inc., d/b/a Texaco Food Mart, 758 Air Base Boulevard.  

18. Application for Retail Beer & Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) by 2024 Inc., d/b/a Lions Pride 111, 7701 Mobile Highway, Hope Hull, AL  (PJ).  Sheriff Cunningham, Commissioner Moore-Zeigler, Councillor Franetta DeLayne Riley, and Interim Police Chief Jim Graboys have approved.

19. Application for Retail Beer & Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) Licenses by Wahe Guru, Inc., d/b/a Lions Pride 16, 1111 Perry Hill Road.  (1)

20. Application for Retail Beer & Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) Licenses by McLemore Retail, Inc., d/b/a McLemore Food Mart, 2111 McLemore Drive1)  (1)

21. Application for a Lounge Retail Liquor – Class II (Package) License by McLemore Retail, Inc., d/b/a McLemore Spirits, 2115 McLemore Drive.  (1)

22. Application for a Special Retail – More Than 30 Days Liquor License by McCalla Valley LLC, d/b/a 2211 The Ultimate Play Zone, 3541 McGehee Road.  (5)

23. Resolution declaring public nuisances, authorizing immediate abatement and assessing cost of abatement of public nuisances on various lots pursuant to Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances.
