OLD BUSINESS
     
1. Ordinance rezoning one lot located at the northeast corner of Woodley Road and Woodley Park Drive (2601-2611 Woodley Park Drive) from an O-1 (Office) Zoning District to a B-2-Q (Commercial-Qualified) Zoning District, restricted to a Beauty Shop, Barber Shop, and Beauty Related Services. Applicant requested B-2; Planning Commission recommended B-2-Q, restricted to Beauty Shop, Barber Shop, and Beauty Related Services.  No appeal received.  (RZ-1988-004)      (6)

2. Ordinance amending the FY 2023 Operating & Debt Service Budget and adopting the FY 2024 Operating & Debt Service Budget.

3. Ordinance amending Section 18-175 of the Code of Ordinances – Prohibited acts (Noise)

4. Resolution declaring American Christian Heritage Month.  (Sponsored by Councillor Lyons)

5. Ordinance amending Ordinance 50-2019, Section 2, Council Rules of Procedure for Work Session to begin at 3:30 p.m. on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays.  (Sponsored by Councillor Mitchell)

6. Resolution setting a Moratorium on all Construction of Bell Road beginning November 1, 2023.  (Sponsored by Councillor Mitchell)

7. Ordinance rezoning of a parcel of land containing 6.16 acres located on the southeast corner of Taylor Road and Halcyon Park Drive from an O-1 (Office) Zoning District to a B-2 (Commercial) Zoning District.   Recommended by the Planning Commission to deny rezoning due to the fact it is not consistent with the Envision Montgomery 2040 Comprehensive Plan.  (RZ-2023-007) (9)       (WITHDRAWN BY APPLICANT)

8. Resolution recognizing Jamari Terrell Williams Day on October 11, 2023. (Sponsored by Councillor Graham)

10. Resolution to Maintain and Confirm the Neutrality of the City of Montgomery Towards Its Residents. (Sponsored by Councillor Lyons)

11. Resolution authorizing Show Cause Hearing of Aura Lounge, 5480 Atlanta Highway. (Sponsored by Councillor Grimes)

12. Resolution to obligate funding for Violent Crime Programming as a Dollar for Dollar Match for the Safely Home Pilot Series Grant.

13. Resolution to approve the Selected Vendor for the Small Business Support Program from the Montgomery Thrive Initiative.

14. Application for a Wine Festival License by Department of Cultural Affairs, d/b/a Riverwalk Wine Festival, 300 Water Street.  (3)

15. Application for Retail Beer (On or Off Premises) and Retail Table Wine (On or Off Premises) Licenses by The Magnum Opus Cigar Lounge, LLC, d/b/a Magnum Opus Cigars, 2921 Chestnut Street. (3)

16. Application for Retail Beer (Off Premises Only) and Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) Licenses by ZT LLC, d/b/a Old Selma Grocery, 6200 Old Selma Road (PJ).  Sheriff Cunningham, Commissioner Moore-Zeigler, Councillor Graham & Chief Albert have objections concerning this license.  (4)

17. Application for Retail Beer (Off Premises Only) and Retail Table Wine (Off Premises Only) Licenses by Hughley 23, Inc., d/b/a Payless Food Mart, 3055 Woodley Road.  (6)

18. Resolution reappointing Lauri Weil to the Museum Board by Councillor Pruitt.

19. Pursuant to Section 11-53B-1 et Seq., Code of Alabama, authorization of demolition of unsafe structures at the following locations:

• 464 South Jackson St – Parcel # 10 04 18 1 013 024.000
• 531 South Jackson St – Parcel # 10 04 18 1 021 011.000

20. Resolution declaring public nuisances, authorizing immediate abatement and assessing cost of abatement of public nuisances on various lots pursuant to Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances.
