The event is held to remember the era and recognize those who are continuing the Dream by their contributions to the Beloved Community. Each year, The Friends of the Theater (FOT) honors a category for recipients such as Judges, Nurses, Civil Rights Humanitarians, Dedicated Elected Officials etc. 

This event will recognize those who continue the Dream through Visual Arts and historical contributions that help to keep the struggles from the past alive while providing resources to overcome the challenges of today.
