Junior Zookeeper Summer Camp, 11-12 year olds, July 22-26. Join us for Junior Zookeeper Summer Camp at the Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum. The perfect way for your camper to enjoy a WILD summer. Summer camp is designed for boys and girls to enjoy a full-day zoo experience filled with adventure and fun. This camp is designed especially for our older campers (11-12 year olds) during our final week of summer camp, we are going to create a one-of-a-kind experience by allowing campers to get a glimpse of what it is like to be a zookeeper. Visit behind the scenes, insightful chats with keepers, help on exhibit, tour our Vet Clinic, get to know what it is like to be a keeper at a working zoo, and so much more. If you have ever thought about animal care as a career, this may be the perfect camp for you!

Your camper will experience a fun and educational week here at the Montgomery Zoo. Each day will follow an animal theme and will include coordinating activities. Camp activities will include, but not limited to:
- scavenger hunts,
- helping keepers with exhibit and animal tasks,
- insightful and educational chats with keepers,
- touring the Zoo's Vet Clinic,
- interaction with Animal Care management and Vet staff
- make and create diets for Zoo animals,
- get a hands-on glimpse of what it is like to be a zookeeper at a working zoo,
- hands-on care with the Zoo's Education animals,
- indoor and outdoor games,
- animal and summer crafts,
- behind the scene zoo tours, encounters, and interactions,
- live animal presentations,
- animal encounters and feeding sessions,
- build and present animal enrichment projects,
- STEAM activities,
- and other exciting activities.
Each day we will also provide snacks and lunch. All campers will receive a summer camp T-shirt. There is limited space, so register your camper today!

Camp hours
-- Full day experience: 8:30am - 4:30pm
-- Drop-off times: 8am - 8:30am
-- Pick up times: 4:30pm - 5pm
-- Extended hours: 7:30am - 8am and 5pm - 5:30pm
-- Should your schedule need to changed, please make the camp counselor aware of any changes.
Tuition
-- Montgomery Zoo Members: $210/week
-- Non-Zoo Members: $230/week
-- Extended care: $25/week

NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT!
Tuition must be received at the point of registration. Any cancellations will result in a $25 processing fee. No phone reservations will be accepted.
Montgomery Zoo members may begin registration on Feb 15 @ 9am CST.
Non-Montgomery Zoo members may begin registration on April 18 @ 9am CST.
Lunch and snacks
Lunch is served at the Overlook Cafe at 12pm (noon) daily. If your camper will not eat the lunch provided for the day, you may send an alternate lunch with them. Snacks will be provided daily, but you may send an alternate snack as well. Please see the daily menu below.

-- Friday: Chicken Nugget Combo
Note: All combos include chips, cookies and drinks (lemonade or water). On Friday, the cookie will be substituted for an ice cream sandwich.
Snacks will vary daily. One snack and drink (no sodas) will be provided in mid-morning, and one snack and drink (no sodas) will be provided in mid-afternoon.

Summer heat: Let us remind you, that many of our activities will be held outside. Please dress your camper appropriate for daily the temperatures and make sure to bring a water bottle. Also, if your camper has any special dietary needs, please make us aware and it may be best for you to provide the appropriate food and snacks for your camper.
Please note: For insurance reasons and for the safety of all involved, the campers will not have any direct contact with the zoo animals.
