Voices in Black History Speech Competition is an annual contest hosted by Montgomery City-County Public Library, where students in grades 3 through 12 compete as a notable Black personality. Contestants research their personality, write 3 to 7 minute original speech as if he/she were that person and present in costume as that person. Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants in three grade levels: 3-5; 6-8; and 9-12. For complete rules and applications, visit our website at www.mccpl.lib.al.us or pick up a packet at any of Montgomery City-County Public Library 10 locations.
