OLD BUSINESS

1. Ordinance authorizing Mayor to execute aggregate contracts of $25,000 or less without Council review and approval through September 2025.  (Sponsored by Councillor Szymanski)

2. Reconsideration of Resolution No. 123-2024, application for a Towing Company by Deanthony Rose, d/b/a D&D Towing & Recovery, 23 West Patton Avenue.  (4)

3. Ordinance regulating parking of commercial vehicles on residential property. (Option 1)

5. Ordinance amending Section 3-9 of the Code of Ordinance – Hours of Sale of Alcoholic Beverages.

6. Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning 18.54 acres (+/-) located on the southwest corner of Pike Road and Ray Thorington Road from an AGR-1 (Residential Agriculture) Zoning District to a B-2-! (Commercial-Qualified) Zoning District; restricted as follows:  1. No Nightclubs and bars; 2. No Adult Video Stores; 3. No Tattoo Parlors; 4. No Gas Stations or Convenience Stores; 5. No Auto Repair; ^. No Auto Sales; 7. No Stand-Alone Fast-Food Restaurants.  Recommended to Deny by the Planning Commission for the following reasons:  1. No support from the community for this development in this area; 2. Safety and Crime Issues; 3. Emergency Response Time due to the Development being at the edge of the City; and 4. Traffic Issues. 7. Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning 5 parcels containing 9.5 acres (+/-) located on the south side of Edna Brake Lucas Drive, approximately 600 feet west of Sprott Drive, from an AGR-1 (Residential Agriculture) Zoning District to an M-1 (Light Industrial) Zoning District.  Planning Commission made NO RECOMMENDATION.  There was no 2nd to the motion to approve; therefore, no action was taken.  (RZ-2024-019)

8. Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning one lot located on at the northeast corner of Atlanta Highway and Wares Ferry Road (aka 3701 Atlanta Highway) from an O-2 (Office) Zoning District to a B-2-Q (Commercial-Qualified) Zoning District; restricted to a Daycare.  Application requested B-2; Planning Commission recommended B-2-Q; restricted to a Daycare.  No appeal received.  (RZ-2024-020) 

9. Hearing on proposed Ordinance Rezoning two lots on the north side of Yarbrough Street, approximately 160 feet west of Broadview Street (aka 1751 Yarbrough Street) from an R-65-d (Duplex Residential) Zoning District to a B-2-Q (Commercial-Qualified) Zoning District; restricted to a Small Outdoor Café and Bistro.  Applicant requested B-2; Planning Commission Recommended B-2-Q (Commercial-Qualified) restricted to a small outdoor café and bistro.  No appeal received.  (RZ-2024-021)
   
10. Ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 40-2024 (Gun/ID Requirement).  Sponsored by Councillor Pruitt.

11. Resolution encouraging all supporting municipalities to adopt a resolution encouraging Alabama Legislature to adopt legislation supporting photo identification for concealed carry and providing penalties.  (Sponsored by Councillor Pruitt) 

12. Application for a Towing Company by Christopher Thorn, d/b/a Clutch Roadside & Auto, no physical location.

13. Application for a Rental Hall by Tanisha Bell, d/b/a ABJC, 3836 Harrison Road (distance variance requested; must apply for ABC License).  (7)

14. Resolution repealing the legislation which created Montgomery City/County Personnel Board and expressing Council’s intent to adopt an ordinance creating a City Personnel Board in accordance with Act 2024-337.

18. Ordinance grant a license to Groome Transportation of Alabama LLC to Operate, Pick-up or Drop-off Patrons or Clients at the COM Intermodal Transfer Center at 495 Molton Street.

19. Public Hearing on the proposed Ordinance to modify the District Plan of the City of Montgomery Tourism Improvement District.  

20. Ordinance modifying the District Plan of the City of Montgomery Tourism Improvement District.

21. Ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances, Section 6-208 – Collections/overdue charges regarding the Montgomery Tourism Improvement District.

22. Resolution extending the Moratorium on automated carwashes for an additional six months.  (Sponsored by Councillor Grimes)
