Hosted by BONDS

  • Date: February 09, 2017 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Location: Trinity Presbyterian Church
    1728 South Hull Street
    Montgomery, Alabama
  • Introduction: BONDS is preparing to celebrate the successes of neighborhoods throughout Montgomery County!

Building Our Neighborhoods for Development and Success (BONDS) is preparing to celebrate the successes of neighborhoods throughout Montgomery County as well as encourage growth and sustainable projects with through grants, training, and partnerships! We will award the resident lead group that has shown exceptional leadership skills and concern for their neighborhood per nomination of their peers. We also offer an award to a deserving community organization for their commitment to the neighborhoods in Montgomery; which is done in a number of ways. Nominations are still being accepted until January 20th. For more information, please contact the BONDS Office at bonds@montgomeryal.gov or 625-2207.

In addition to the celebration, we will hear from Pastor Clifford Jones of Greater Peace Baptist Church in Opelika, AL. Rev. Jones has a host of accolades associated with his name, but he was requested for a community revitalization project known as Jordan’s Gate which is a 48 Housing Sub-Division in Opelika that has been very successful since 2009. The success of the program gives hope to communities that have similar circumstances and we think the residents of Montgomery will be inspired by his message. Leadership and partnerships are some characteristics you’ll see and hear from Pastor Jones through the successes he has experienced in work throughout the community he serves.

In addition to the awards, the grants, and an encouraging message; our Mayor and other elected officials will be available to share in this evening with the residents of Montgomery.

BONDS’ mission is to provide training, networking opportunities, and grants to the resident lead groups throughout the county of Montgomery and the annual banquet presents an opportunity to provide all three in one setting. The program will celebrate 21 years of service to the community. We are very excited to be in existence and most of all still relevant to this great community! For more information about BONDS and the services we provide, please contact us at 625-2207 or 625-2126.

Reservations are now being accepted.  Please contact BONDS at 625-2126 or 625-2207 to request reservation information.
