The Design and Drafting section provides plans, drawings and maps for various city departments as needed for the planning and design of public works construction projects. Plans are prepared using Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software, into which data is incorporated from electronic survey and various available mapping sources. The City Engineering Department also maintains hard copy and/or electronic records of plans constructed by and for the City.
