The Montgomery City Council voted 7-to-1 to approve the City’s FY2009 Budget, which includes an increase in landfill fees. It also passed a 1.75 percent sales tax and implemented a leasing and rental fee. Garbage fees will increase from $12 to $16 with pick up remaining the same.
