City Investigations

Mayor Todd Strange established the Office of City Investigations to conduct investigations and make reports for all Departments of the City. The essential functions of the CI Department are: to investigate personnel-related complaints and/or grievances, to investigate citizen complaints, and to present findings of fact regarding complaints. The Department was started to assure that a fair and impartial investigation be done on any complaint a citizen or employee has against an employee of the City. The City Investigations Department has three full-time investigators and an attached investigator. The City Investigations Department also includes an Administrative Assistant and the Senior Staff Attorney. Any person wanting to make a complaint should complete the CI complaint form and mail it to the City Investigations Department located at 300 Water Street (or deliver in person).
