Montgomery Fire/Rescue has been involved with other fire departments across the nation raising money to fight muscular dystrophy in an effort termed the," boot drive." Since 1998 the departement has contributed over 1 Million dollars to MDA.

The Montgomery Fire / Rescue Department and its members are dedicated to providing essential resources, education and leadership to our community. We are committed to training individuals, families, neighborhoods, and businesses in fire safety.
The Public Education Department schedules fire safety events such as Station Tours, Job Fairs and Public Speaking Events.
“Freddy the Fire Truck” is a self-propelled, remote controlled educational tool designed to enhance fire safety education efforts. Not only can “Freddy” talk, he also has red lights, blinking eyes, a siren, squirts water and performs a host of other maneuvers that can captivate a young audience attention when emphasizing important educational points.
