Cougar: also known as Puma, Panther, Mountain Lion, and Catamount, solitary, active any time of the day, carnivorous
Bighorn Sheep: found in semi-open rocky terrain, active by day, congregate in same-sex groups, eat mainly grasses, forbs, and shrubs
American Bison: live in large herds that migrate across open grasslands, feeds mostly early and late in day, found in Midwestern US and Canada. Status in endangered, can live up to 25 years in the wild and 40 years in captivity.
Black Bear: found in North America and Africa, it sleeps up 6 months of the year (in winter) Has powerful limbs (which are excellent for climbing trees) and jaws, can adapt to many habitats but prefers forested companies.
Canadian Lynx: solitary, nocturnal, wanders widely, lives in mixed and taiga forest, scrub, steppe, and rocky alpine slopes. Can hiss and mew, carnivorous
Wood Duck: Found in Canada, US, Cuba and Mexico. Has a soft, high pitched squeal emitted by both sexes, forages on land and water. Nests in holes in trees.
