If you love animals and enjoy being with people, the Montgomery Zoo is where you need to be! As a volunteer, you will meet a variety of interesting people who care about the Montgomery Zoo and their community. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Before each special event there will be an orientation to give you information about the event, including the purpose, dates and times that you can choose from that fit your schedule. As a volunteer you help make the event a success.
Volunteers are needed for several upcoming events including ZooBoo, Holiday Light Festival and Zoo Weekend. If you or your organization would like to be involved with the Zoo, please call Sarah McKemey at 240-4930 or email the following information at smckemey@montgomeryal.gov

DONATIONS
|
Supporting your Montgomery Zoo is easy. Contributions can be made in the way of financial gifts, or by donation of products and services. The Montgomery Zoo relies heavily on the generosity of the community to sponsor the various events and activities held here at the zoo.
Adoptions. Be a Momma to a Monkey, or a Papa to a Rhino! But don't worry - we'll do the baby-sitting! Animal adoptions make unique gifts for any occasion! They are special for both adoptee and recipient. There is a perfect match for anyone. Simply use your imagination and surprise someone special with a gift that is like no other!
Brick pavers. Make a lasting impression! Leave your mark! Put the name of a loved one on a Brick Paver in the Brick Plaza Entrance of the City of Montgomery Zoo. Each brick is 4" X 8" and is inscribed with your name or message. Simply print out the attached form and send it to the zoo along with your payment. What better way to permanently recognize your loved ones?
Corporate donations. Why affiliate with The Montgomery Zoo? Affiliation with the Montgomery Zoo is good business. By partnering with the Montgomery Zoo, the community knows that you not only care about your community, but about conservation as well. The association with the zoo allows your company to break through the marketplace clutter and generate top-of-the mind awareness. In addition, community involvement can lead to an increase in consumer loyalty.
A recent national survey on cause-related marketing concluded that 60% of consumers say they would purchase from companies that support a cause in which they believe in, price and quality being equal. Of those surveyed, 84% believe that cause-related marketing creates a positive company image. In addition, 78% commented that they would be more likely to purchase a product that supports a cause they care about.

RECIPROCATING POLICY
|
|
The Montgomery Zoo has a reciprocating policy with over 140 Zoos and Aquariums throughout the United States and Canada. Members of reciprocating zoos are entitled to free or discounted admission to the Montgomery Zoo for day time events only. Special and night time events are not included in current reciprocating policies. For more information or to confirm the reciprocating agreement from your particular zoo, please call (334) 240-4900.
