MPD DAILY CRIME REPORT SUMMARY

Information contained in the Daily Crime Report Documents is as initially reported to police officers by those representing themselves to be victims of crime.

Many times, an investigation discloses that the initial crime reported is not what actually occurred and sometimes it is even discovered that a crime did not occur at all.

Therefore the following information should not and cannot be utilized to judge the actual volume of crime in a specific area of town or at a specific address. Crime stats gleaned from the Daily Crime Report most likely will not agree with final stats compiled for the MPD Annual Report.

MPD will continue to strive to ensure that recorded crimes are actual and accurately reported and we request assistance from the public in maintaining that standard. If you become aware of a falsely reported crime or have knowledge of misrepresented facts in a case please do not hesitate to contact our Detective Division or Secret Witness Line.
