This bureau is responsible for the investigation of all felony property crimes and is divided into four specialized units:


General Investigations Unit: (334) 241-2353
This unit is responsible for the investigation of all felony crimes associated with, but not limited to, Burglaries, Thefts, Unlawful Breaking and Entering of Vehicles, and Criminal Mischief.

Pawn Shop/Scrap Yard Detail: (334) 241-2355
This unit monitors and regulates local pawn shops, scrap yards, and other second-hand shops. The Montgomery Police Dept has implemented an internet-based tracking system called Leads on Line, which is used to identify, record, and recover stolen property through the use of serial numbers and property descriptions.

Auto Theft Task Force: (334) 241-2382
This task force is a specialized unit that investigates the theft of motorized vehicles to include automobiles, motor homes, tractors, motorcycles, off-road vehicles, and water craft. The unit also conducts proactive investigations in an attempt to identify and apprehend auto theft rings, "chop shops", and individual car thieves.


White Collar Crimes Unit
this unit investigates financial crimes to include check theft and forgery, credit card thefts and fraud embezzlements, and identity theft. This unit investigates crimes for a wide variety of the public sector with victims ranging from individual citizens all the way up to Fortune 500 companies.
