Information contained in the Crime Mapping System is as initially reported to police officers by those representing themselves to be victims of crime. Many times, an investigation discloses that the initial crime reported is not what actually occurred. This Crime Mapping System is merely a tool for citizens to be more aware of crime occurring where they work/live.

Crime stats gleaned from the Crime Mapping Systemmost likely will not agree with final stats compiled for the MPD Annual Report. If you become aware of a falsely reported crime or have knowledge of misrepresented facts in a case, please contact our Detective Division or the Secret Witness Line.
