MONTGOMERY -- Montgomery Clean City Commission, AARP Alabama, MAX Credit Union and Gilmore Services held a free on-site document destruction on Friday, April 13th from 7am until 12pm on the midway of Garrett Coliseum.

The event, which was also sponsored by Councilmen Richard Bollinger and Charles Jinright, had 820 local citizens driving through to shred and recycle their sensitive documents. Gilmore Services shredded 30,000 lbs. of paper on-site Friday.

Gilmore Services (www.gilmoreservices.com) guarantees that all confidential records are disposed of properly and all shredded paper will be recycled.

Event participants generously donated 8,555 lbs. of non-perishable food items to benefit the Montgomery Area Food Bank.
