Christmas Tree Recycling offered December 30 and January 6
MONTGOMERY -- As the holiday season draws to an end, the Montgomery Clean City Commission, the City of Montgomery and the Alabama Department of Conservation will offer tree recycling on December 30 and January 6. Residents can take discarded Christmas trees to any one of the city’s regular Saturday trash pickup points from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday trash pick-up locations are Bellingrath Jr. High, Cramton Bowl, Crump Elementary, Dannelly Elementary, Goodwyn Jr. High, Halcyon Elementary, Harrison Elementary, Hayneville Road Elementary, Morningview Elementary, Sheridan Heights Community Center, Southlawn Middle School, Vaughn Road Elementary and Wares Ferry Elementary. The Alabama Department of Conservation has a fish habitat program on big local reservoirs, such as Lake Martin and Lake Jordan. The recycled trees from Montgomery will be placed in these reservoirs which will attract fish and anglers.
