The following City Council Agenda Items were heard and adopted during April 4th, meeting:

The following City Ordinances were adopted by City Council:

  • Ordinance amending Appendix C – Zoning, Article VI, Sections 8.4, 8.5 and 8.6 (Landscape Requirements).  Recommended by the Planning Commission.
  •  Hearing on proposed Ordinance rezoning two lots located at 2628 and 2634 Highland Avenue from an R-60-s (Single-Family Residential) Zoning District to a B-2 (Commercial) Zoning District.  Recommended by the Planning Commission.  (RZ-2017-003).

     

    The following Agenda Item was carried over by the Council:

  •      Ordinance amending Chapter 12 Environment, Sections 12-31 and 12-37 of the Code of Ordinances.  (Sponsored by Councillor Lyons) 
  •      Ordinance amending Article III, Section 13-111 and Section 13-112 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Montgomery and adopting the International Fire Code, 2015 Edition, along with their Referenced Publications,  with Exceptions and Amendments.  (To be carried over for action following public hearing.)
  •     Ordinance amending Chapter 13, Article I, Section 13-8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Montgomery (Fireworks).  (To be carried over for action following public hearing.)
  •      Ordinance amending Chapter 14, Article IV, Section 14-143 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Montgomery (Permit and Reporting Required for Storage of Hazardous Materials). (To be carried over for action following public hearing.)
  •     Ordinance amending Chapter 6, Article I, Section 6-4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Montgomery Overcrowding of Retail Business Establishments.  (To be carried over for action following public hearing.)
  •     Ordinance amending Chapter 11, Emergency Services, Article II, Ambulances, Section 11-31; 11-32; 11-34; 11-36; 11-38; 11-39; 11-61; 11-62 and 11-64 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Montgomery.

     

    The following Item was withdrawn; Owner brought item into compliance:

     

  •     Resolution revoking Business License for failure to pay sales tax and authorizing Show Cause Hearing for Raymond G. Flores (POA), a/k/a Manav LLC, d/b/a Z Tec, 1100 Ann Street.

     

    The following Applications were approved by the City Council:

  •     Application for Retail Beer and Retail Table Wine (On or Off Premises) by Big Sky Four LLC, d/b/a Folcarellis Pizza, 8125 Decker Lane, Units K & L.
  •     Application for Retail Beer (Off Premises Only) by Rabeya Inc., d/b/a Petro Plus, 2244 West Fairview Avenue.
  •     Application for Lounge Retail Liquor – Class I License by Mandy J. Pahman, d/b/a The Zip Line, 21 Coliseum Boulevard.
  •     Application for a Non-Profit Tax Exempt Liquor License by MRDF Inc., d/b/a Crawfish and Cocktails, 300 Water Street, Downtown Train Shed.

     

    The following Resolutions were adopted by the City Council:

  •      Resolution setting Public Hearing for May 2, 2017 regarding the proposed adoption of the International Fire Code, 2015 Edition, along with their Referenced Publications, with Exceptions and Amendments.

     

  • Resolution designating Nuisance Abatement Agent.
  •  Resolution assessing the cost of abatement of unsafe structures on various lots pursuant to Section 11-53B-1 et Seq., Code of Alabama.
  • Resolution declaring public nuisances, authorizing immediate abatement and assessing cost of abatement of public nuisances on various lots pursuant to Chapter 12 of Code of Ordinances.
  •       Resolution appointing Councillor Burkette as Voting Delegate to the Alabama League of     Municipalities Annual Convention May 20-23, 2017.
